An heirloom knitwear collection inspired by Trevayne Farm, Wales, made 42 miles from the land.

We are proud to announce our collaboration with Corgi on a special collection of knitwear to celebrate 90 years of Trevayne Farm. Made with locality in mind, we have used the finest 100% British wool, the majority of which being from our own Monkstone flock in Pembrokeshire, West Wales, which travels just 42 miles from field to factory.

Always supporting manufacture within the UK, we chose Corgi due to their high standard of making and aligned values. We have worked with Corgi since 2010, building both a design partnership and friendship along the way. We both prioritise heritage, locality and craftsmanship. The Corgi family business spans five generations, during which they’ve perfected traditional and modern methods of making for long lasting quality.

A black and white vintage photo of a man sitting outdoors on grass with three dogs, one of which is a puppy. The man is wearing a cap, vest, white shirt, and trousers. There is a tree and some bushes in the background.
A man with glasses, wearing a checked blazer, holding knitted socks and examining them closely.

A friendship based on craft + tradition.

Reviving classic styles from our archive, the knits are designed to become heirloom products. Pieces are made-to-order at Corgi’s South Wales workshop, keeping waste to a minimum.

This year, we feature our native breed Welsh Black Mountain and Coloured Dorset yarn, in pure deep chocolate and oatmeal hues. With locality at the forefront, we have also collaborated with other Welsh farmers, to present a creamy Merino and Romney blend from North Wales. Community is of importance, in creating a fair supply chain for farmers, craftspeople and makers.

The Welsh climate of rugged pastures produces wool that is highly durable, insulating and moisture-wicking. Due to no synthetic intervention, our wool is fully biodegradable to eventually be returned back to the land after being passed down through generations. The wool is as natural as possible, as we have used a low grade chemical wash with no toxicity.

There isn’t a better way to honour the Trevayne Farm legacy than by bringing together Welsh artisan makers and our own native breed British flocks.
