Wool Care

Wool is naturally breathable, moisture-wicking and temperature-regulating, helping to keep cool in the summer and warm in the winter.

An environmentally-friendly material, it is both a renewable fibre source and biodegradable. It is best after being worn in, so its shape can adapt to the new wearer or home.

Wool’s ability to resist creases and odours means it shouldn’t need to be washed much, but if needed, hand-wash softly in cool water, or run on a cold, very gentle machine cycle and leave to dry flat.

Waxed Cotton

Waxed cotton originates from the 15th-century, when it was created by sailors who coated their maritime fabrics with fish oils. It is a sustainable, long-lasting, weather-resistant material that develops a patina of signs of wear over time, making it unique to the wearer.

If your wax outerwear needs cleaning, brush off dried dirt, then wipe clean with a cold, damp cloth. For stubborn stains, use a mild soap mixed with cold water, then leave to air-dry. Never machine wash or tumble dry. To prolong the life of your wax products, re-wax when needed.

Linen

Linen is a natural, durable, breathable and temperature-regulating fabric that softens with age.

Linen becomes more supple with each wash, so hand wash inside out or use a gentle machine cycle in cool water with mild detergent, avoiding bleach and fabric softeners. Air drying is best, but out of direct sunlight, and do not tumble dry. Iron gently while damp for a crisp look, or embrace the natural wrinkles of the fibres.
